Monday
This afternoon during lunch I had an interview with Santi and Dalia on Academic prefect stuff. well i think i did pretty well, tho i did not prepare for anything. i think the many times of video shootings and interview perparations helped. here is a list of questions they asked:

Thinking about education System in the United States
I have already gone through the midpoint of this year’s study, I began to learn more about American education system. And using Chemistry as an example, it reflects several differences that are worth thinking about.
American Chemistry began with atoms and molecules, as well as elements, and at this point, Americans and Chinese reach an agreement. But then it is a little bit different: Chinese Chemistry goes to the classification and properties of the substances, While in America, the students learn spdf and other more accurate atom theorem, which won’t be taught in China in the third year of Chemistry. When I talked about this with Mrs. Tallman, she said American students won’t be able to do anything if they do not understand the reason of the reactions. While in China, it is more like giving a very basic and simple explanation at first, and then using experiments to verify and improve these theorems. For American students, it is true that they must understand why before moving on to next part. For Chinese students, they can compromise for a little while and generally they are more pratical.
Wednesday
China’s investment in Africa- is it win-win economic cooperation or is it neo-colonialism? Today during the humanities class Ms. Ouland asked me, Sonia, and Johnson this question. Johnson describes it as a more economic relationship, as the countries remain independent. Also, the investments are more in infrastructures, and China is not exploiting the natural resources. I actually quite agree with some of Johnson’s ideas, but Ms. Ouland says when the missionaries first came to Africa, they did not think they were colonizing either. So for all the things happening in today’s world, we don’t know what our grandsons will think of us and what they will write us in the history textbook, so the only thing that we can do is to try to do our best.
Thursday
Today still nothing really BIG happened, but I spent about half an hour update my TOWN diary system and SO note system. Jk, all of these are created by me and there is no real these “terms” , so it’s more like optimizing workflow and the methods to write down notes so that my notes and diaries will be more readable and I can write them down more efficient.

So the first change is that now the subtitle of all the tiddlers will be the created date so that it would be more helpful to see when the diary was created, which is also the day the diary is describing. To change this setting, just go to `/core/ui/ViewTemplate/subtitle`, and add this to the body part: `<$view field="created" format="date" template={{$:/language/Tiddler/DateFormat}}/>`. I also installed a QR Code Plugin so that there is another way for me to directly share the content with other people, but remember to select “Render content of this tiddler” .I also find a way to search the tiddlers according to the created date: Use `[days[-14]]` to search for the tiddler within 14 days, and use `[!days:created[-800]]`to search for tiddlers created more than 800 days ago. |
Friday
Today my dad arrived in Boston and would have the Spring Festival with me and my mom. I was playing tennis when I first saw my dad, though I knew his plane had already landed at 3 pm. Is this kind of like a surprise party? Well, we simply had noodles and rice noodles for dinner, but there were 3 people in the kitchen! I still remember the last time there were 3 people in the kitchen is the last time, which was several months ago. But anyways, it is still sooooo exciting to have the third member in my family.
