Monday
This is a comment for the Lenovo 2-in-1 Laptop Stand.
Advantages:
- 2-in-1: As it said in the product name, the stand is 2 in 1, meaning that you can have a phone stand and a computer stand at the same time. This is cool and it can suddenly make the desk seem to be more professional.
- Adjustable stand: Back to stand itself. You can adjust the laptop stand using the 10 preset levels. And you can close it and fold it, so that it is portable to take. And the angle is actually pretty comfortable!
Disadvantages:
- Price: There is a 9% off on Amazon store when I bought it, and the stand is still $22.67! I think the original price, $24.99, is definitely a little bit high for this product.
- Textile: The product is completely plastic, and it is not very stable. Since I press the keyboard a little bit hard, the mac is always shaking a little bit when I type. It is not as bad as that you can not use it, but it would definitely influence your typing experience.

Conclusion
This Lenovo Laptop Stand has its innovative place, such as its 2 in 1 structure and portablity. However, it is 100% plastic, which does not match with its price. Also, if u type on the stand for a long time, your wrist might be sour, but that’s common disadvantage that all these stands share.

Pep rally and basketball games
Today is the winter pep rally and the JVB and VBB between BTA and Gann. And I saw the cup competition (速叠杯, Sport Stacking) during the pep rally. It just feels like… familiar. I also watched the two games. And the VBB will be televised, which is cool! https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/4Qc-dJrwh5Y?si=1Ij6LgXuAOmX5QwG
Also, btw, I advanced in Diamond Challenge, but it is unimportant and no one cares. Still a lot os work needs to be done.
Wednesday
Dinner Party w/ Andy
Today I had a dinner party with Andy to celebrate the lunar new year, which falls on Friday February 9th. The food was delicious, and we played some games like It takes two. But, I am going to work on Diamond Challenge now, which will be due on next Monday. Bye!

Trinity Term
Yes. I know. I remember, I do not forget, yes, yes. Well this week there is another BIG BIG thing in BTA, which is called Trinity Term. Trinity Term is an interim week in February that aims to explore the question of “who is our neighbor” in a global context. Students and faculty attend the four day, in-school conference which includes workshops and seminars led by scholars, experts, and professionals well informed on topics concerning the geographical area of focus. Students also work on hands-on projects which they present and exhibit at the conclusion of Trinity term. In past years, neighbors have included South Asia, Latin America, Africa, East Asia, and the Caribbean. And this semester, we went to sub-Sharan area. I was in Coffee, Culture, and Current Event Action Group, and we explored three countries that are related to coffee, Kenya, Ethiopia. and South Sudan. We tasted the local coffee (or dairy drinks), and watched documentaries about their social problems. We watched about the orphans in Kenya and how Mully, as a millionaire, gave up all his stockings to help thousands of orphans with the hand of God. We also learnt about how women in Ethiopia suffered from fistula because of the prolonged time of labor. They sometimes needed have several times of surgeries and they faced segregations and discrimination. There are also lost boys in South Sudan, their parents were killed in the tribal war, and they are brothers and sisters to one another.
It is also interesting that these displaced people all like to refer to the example of Moses, and it is actually an interesting topic to discuss, but it will not be discussed here.
I also had some of really interesting seminars. There are two kinds of seminars: one is to reveal more social problems: like Apartheid and fatherlessness, slavery behind chocolate (tho it is an action group), and the other kind is to show the progress and prosperity of Africa, such as debunking Africa. We also heard the story telling from Africa, and the storyteller, Valerie Tutson talked about two folks in Africa.
We also had an afternoon museum tour in which all action groups presented what they had learnt in the week. There were also performances on African music, dance, and martial arts(?). And it is really interesting.
Hamlet Light Cues
Today I stayed in auditorium from 3 to 9:30, about 7 hours, to write down most of the light cues in Hamlet. We wrote more than 200 cues, but we definitely need to add more during the runthourgh, From today on, the light crews are officially integrated in the drama as well, and we will join all the casts and elementals during runthroughs.
Friday
Friday is the Lunar Chinese New Year!
Today and tomorrow we have our first lunar Chinese New Year in America. There is just NO atmosphere of the lunar Chinese New Year, which is understandable. But, I found some lanterns in Wegmans, but I think they are not put there for Lunar Chinese New Year. But the dishes and the cakes are SO GOOD. Also, today is Sonia’s bday.
I opened a lot of red packets, from my parents and other relatives as well as my classmates.
