《忆苦思甜》/ "Bittersweet"

《忆苦思甜》/ "Bittersweet"

The salmon twilight glimmer fades
From windowsills sticky with oil,
As memories blink in her gaze.
For dimmer shades, free to moil,
Wake to trounce aft the day's toil.

She takes a drink from her own bowl,
A dish stained red with others' hands,
Fingers that will once girt no hold
Upon the ever-loving sands
Of time which fill her o'er full glance.

The pears scattered in yellow clumps
On the table marinated
In flour and flurries, mellow thumps
Ere laughter flits twixt inflated
Hearts and proto-types of trumpets.

Her eyes grow large at those she's fond
Of. From a tapestry, spawned of
The clutch, safe in a cozy pond
Upriver. She sits beyond as
One ablaze, joyful, handsome kid.
