Feb 15, 2025
This week is the peace before the storm. We had a lot of things going at the same time.
Drama
Drama is of course getting more and more intense, as there is literally around one week before first dress rehearsal. For instance, this is my schedule for next week:

So that is a lot of time commites. Meanwhile, I also have
Prefect Interview
I applied for academic prefect, and we are having a LOT of interview this week. Mine was scheduled on Wed, and it’s actually pretty easy, only Ailish and Aly were there and it was pretty easy in general. However, a trend this year is that every prefect is expected to know (or at least be able to list out bullet points) of school mission.
Boston Trinity Academy educates students from diverse backgrounds in an academically demanding, Christ-centered community, inspiring them to lead lives of faith, integrity, and service.
But in general, I think the interview was ok.
Culture Show Audition
I just attended meeting as TG council member, so I don’t need to go to audition. But, it is still a thing in our school and a lot of ppl are preparing for that. And I also got a cup of milk tea for free. That’s good.
Board Advisors Symposium Meeting
So basically the school is discussing about the possibilities of expanding sympoisum to natural science, arts, or entrepreneurship, so that it will accommodate more people’s interests. So on Friday, we gathered and then discussed in groups about the format of this expanded sumposium course, if possible. The conclusion is, the science or art symposium will be an addition to, but not an alternative to, the current symposium course. That being said, it is still required to do the secular phiolosophy review and also Biblical ethics using exegesis. For those who want to do a science, art, or STEM symposium, the school might make a connection to an expert so that the student can conduct a deeper research, but that is totally optional. Since the science or art symposium might take a longer time, there might be a honor symposium course for those students. For symposium night, it will still heavily focus on the implication and soical justice part, rather than the science or art part. Some other changes include:
- there might be a podcast for symposium night?
- Abstract will be released earlier?
- Every year will have a theme for symposium?
But anyways, these are all discussion ideas, for the real policy we still need to wait for Dr. De Vries and school administrators.
